I have looked into Anthem and United and the rates are about the same. Around $450 + $250 deductable and then 80/20. The insurance is to cover my 3 kids after my husband switches job until his benifits kick in (90 days)

I live in Ohio, if you have any suggestions please let me know.

There are several insurance companies online, make sure you are checking them wisely to make sure they have the same benefits.
It looks like you have found a pretty good deal with the first two, they are good insurers and most doctors take their coverage.
You may be covered on your insurance for awhile after leaving your company, most benefits are payed up for 2 weeks to a month. You don't need double coverage so check it out.

You are talking about Cobra benefits. Actually, this is your best deal for a family of 5. Apparently, you are talking about pre-existing conditions on the next one. From the date of hire, 90 days sounds like it applies for pre-existing conditions. All other non-pre-existing conditions (medical) should be covered. Call the Insurance Company that process your claims and ask for a booklet of benefits from Human Resources so that you can use your benefits wisely.

If your income is low enough you can apply for temporary Medicaid.
