Not everyone in Israel is Zionist.
The Israeli Arabs are not, for instance, and so are some of the Ultra-religious Jews- each group with its reasons. Most Israelis, however, do consider themselves Zionists.

The word "Zionist" isn't offensive for itself, but we are not used to hear it outside Israel in positive contexts; sort of like the ethnic slur that the word "Jew" became in some areas and societies.
Saying "the Zionist State of Israel" won't be wrong, it would just be terribly unnecessary. This kind of wording, although not offensive, clarifies the speaker's negative attitude towards Israel.

It must be stated explicitly that while not all Jews are Zionists, not all Zionists are Jews. Israel consist of Jews, Muslims, and Zionist

Judaism and Zionism are by no means the same. Indeed they are incompatible and irreconcilable: If one is a good Jew, one cannot be a Zionist; if one is a Zionist, one cannot be a good Jew.

Of all the crimes of political Zionism, the worst and most basic, and which explains all its other misdeeds, is that from its beginning Zionism has sought to separate the Jewish people from their G-d, to render the divine covenant null and void, and to substitute a "modern" statehood and fraudulent sovereignty for the lofty ideals of the Jewish people.

that's a danger that "Israel" would not exist at present. there grow to be a Zionist flow dating back to the nineteenth century yet modern-day Israel grow to be created by the west as a place of delivery for the Jews after WWII. no one is familiar with what the inhabitants of Jews may be in Israel, Europe, or u . s . had the holocaust or WWII never occurred.

It is better to say just Israel. Of the Jews in Israel, most consider themselves Zionist, though their approaches to politics are all different. The word "Zionist" is not a bad one, though it is being used as such. The word has been twisted and corrupted to imply racism and hate by those who are against it. Also, it functions as a way for people to say bad things about the Jews without being considered racist (not that all people who criticize Zionism do this, but there are certainly some whose critique of Zionists is really a racist tirade against Jews). In short, you can call anybody a Zionist, but call the country by its name - Israel.

You wouldn't refer to 'The Zionist state of Israel', you'd just say Israel.

In Israel there are a multitude of opinions about politics and religion; most people are zionists in the sense that they know they have a right to this tiny country. But there are many different factions and approaches to all these issues.

Not everyone is a zionist.

And Israel is formally known as the State of Israel - that is its correct and recognized name. Zionism has nothing to do with that name.
