I called the vet, the pharmacist, poison control, the emergency clinic and they just said to watch her for the next 24 hours. She was breathing a little heavier than usual and eliminated it (going to the bathroom..I hope mostly cause she did have an extra bowel movement.) I guess we'll just keep an eye on her and take her to the vet if she does anything out of the ordinary. The vet did have concerns about seizures and the pharmacist about stroke..but my dog is acting just normal and now sleeping. Funny thing, I was gonna take her to the 24 hour clinic as it is almost midnight, but she seems fine. I will let you know if anything out of the ordinary develops.

well it is the next morning...7:20 a.m. and the dog seems as though nothing has happened. We slept through the night and had a normal breakfast and walk and everything! Thanks for the suggestions about the peroxide to induce vomitting. I wondered how to do that! With it being in her lower intestines by the time I got home, it was too late to do that. As I estimated she took my rx at 4:30 and I got home at 8:30. You ask how she got them? They were in a child proof rx bottle on the kitchen counter. I have never had a problem with her getting into things other than food. She is a golden retriever/lab mix and they do best while crated. However, i stopped crating her on a daily basis when I moved to a small condo. I know she was dissappointed that I came home from work, fed and walked her and left again. My doggie has feelings and had been alone all day and she got into trouble out of boredom, I feel. I surely won't leave any meds out. I learned my lesson and thanks guys!

Hello..hope all goes well, but if the dog ever swallows things like this again you can make them vomit by using about a 1/4 c. of hydrogen peroxide @ a time till they vomit, just can't be done with anything caustic ..like bleaches, etc..just poisions, pills, things of that nature when they first happen !! Take Care :)

C. 15 tablets 10 x 7.5 = 75 mg. Now divide by 5 mg per tablet:75 / 5 = 15 tablets.

Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Learn here https://tr.im/F3gaf

Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).

1. Just say no to the dietary bungee cord. Greatly reduce or eliminate caffeine and sugar, including refined carbohydrates like flour, which the body treats like sugar. Make grain-based carbohydrates lesser of a focus, eating non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content.

2. Up the protein. Protein transports thyroid hormone to all your tissues and enjoying it at each meal can help normalize thyroid function. Proteins include nuts and nut butters; quinoa; hormone- and antibiotic-free animal products (organic, grass-fed meats, eggs, and sustainably-farmed fish); and legumes.

If that drug is for low thyroid, you need to watch for thyrotoxicosis (panting, increased appetite, weight loss, drinking excessively and urinating excessively, anxiety, diarrhea). Any unusual signs and you should contact the vet.
