If someone told you that they kill you if you didn't deny your belief.

Would you give your life to say there is no God? Atheist
Would you give your life to say there is a God ? Christians

I would hope that if it came down to it I could give my life for Jesus. This question does make a statement about how strong someone believes what they believe.

The book of Revelations says this will happen again. (Rev. 6:10-11)

God had always helped his people during these trying times.

Peter denied Jesus because at that time he did not have the Holy Ghost. He was later crucified just like Jesus. He asked to be hung upside down because he denied Jesus. He didn't believe he deserved to be upright like Jesus was.

He does not keep the gates of heaven either.

Yes, I would say God is great and wonderful. Words do not equal belief, and if it gets me out of a hot situation then so be it.

And to the Christians who will no doubt be saying that there is nothing that would make them give up their belief in God, remember that St. Peter - the one who lets you into heaven denied Jesus three times to save his own neck.
