I need some help with this question please. I have no idea what the prayer in the church for execution means.

They are prayers and vigils for those who are about to be executed or aborted in hoping of saving their lives, or to bring them peace if the execution or abortion go on.

"Execution" does not necessarily imply death. The word means the completion of an act, such as executing a command on your computer. I would suspect (though I am guessing) that a "prayer for execution" would be similar to a "prayer for completion" or a "prayer for action". IMO.

Neither do I. I suspect that you have misunderstood the word, and that it is actually some other word than "execution".
