Oh, of course my boys in the striped tomato, Starsky and Hutch!

No arguments about who'd be driving, Starsky may love Hutch, but nobody touches his car.

Now, whether or not the Duke boys might have a better run at things if the race was on dirt roads, I'm not sure really. From what I understand about the real Torinos they were pure muscle cars in every way. So it had what it took to street race. Have no idea what the General Lee was or was packin' under the hood, but if it was close to S&H's ride, then Bo and Luke might have given S&H a run for the money.

But my boys in blue would still win. :->

Okay, I'd like to add to my answer above. Thanks for the spell correct on the Torino. I have in done some research on the various issues brought up by those who responded to my orignial answer. If it didn't come from my own bank of knowlege, it came from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

"Street racing" : Street racing is a form of unsanctioned and illegal auto racing which takes place on public roads

Under that meaning, it is unclear if public roads also mean dirt roads.

Ford apparently had a long love affair with this car for many, many years in various forms as you can tell from the specs above before phrasing them out in the late 70s. According to Wikipedia, Ford "tricked"out verisons of the Torino by sticking either a 428 CID or a 429 CID "Cobra Jet" engine in them. The Torino was also Ford's base for it's NASCAR entrants with a heritage of highly successful racing.

Starsky and Hutch love Rap? Which age was that, I wonder. Was Snoop Dog even born yet? While rap music may have actually been born in 1969, grew among NYC's blacks and Latinos, it didn't becoming "rapping" until 1979 and it didn't become mainstream until the 80's. Gangsta rap, which tends to degrade women didn't gain commerical secuss until the 1990s. So the S&H I remember watching and loving couldn't of been listening to any form of rap music.

Country music not degrading people? I'm not sure that's a valid comparison considering the country music my Mom listened to and I like, have their run on a few of the 10 commandments, oh like murder, ("Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks, "Thunder Rolls" and "Papa loved Mama" by Garth Brooks)adultery, ("Papa loved Mama", "Whoever's in New England" by Reba McCentire). I could go on of course, since stuff is popping in my head, but I won't.

Besides country music doesn't need to degrade people in it's music the Confederate flag does the job well enough.

The Duke Boys because of the fact Starsky and Hutch have been law enforcement officers or something and it says interior the track "sometime the mountain might get 'em however the regulation never will." as properly, who might run shine for Uncle Jesse?

My boyfriend say S&H because the Dukes are country and it's a "street" race.
I on the otherhand, have to go with the Dukes. They would have a head start, because Starsky and Hutch would be arguing over who would drive.
