whenever i wave the stuffed toy scooby doo he tries to bite it and whenever he gets a hold of it he whips his head around with the toy in his mouth. sometimes whenever the toy is in my hand and misses the toy he bites me. he is a chihuahua. is this normal?

He is obviously possesive over his toys, I'm having the same problem with my 3 month old puppy. When you go to take a toy from him, replace it with a treat. Also, don't just leave his toys lying around all the time, because he then sees them as unimportant. Make sure he only gets toys when he does something good like sit on command, then your dog will appreciate toys more. Let him work for his toys, and show him that the toys really belong to you. When play time is over, let him see you put the toys away in a box or something out of his reach, so he knows that he can only get toys from you. If you have a very wilfull dog, that gets mad when you take it away, even after the treat, a spray bottle will work.

yup its normal. god, jus chase after him and try to get it. if he starts biting yu 4 no reezn tho, get him a muzzle

i have a toy poodle and he does it too! it is soo cute, its like he is trying to throw you the toy >.<

It's normale for puppy's. All he is doing is playing.
