Not ALL religions assign gender to their deities. And some religions have balance by having a god and a goddess.

But I agree with your basic point that Christianity/Islam/Judaism is a bit unbalanced in the gender department.

Jesus the second person of the Trinity is male. The Holy spirit and God the Father have no sexuality. That is called anthropromorphism.

I believe in the energy behind the man made god/dess. It is neither male nor female, and at the same time male and female.

God is God........
God is light.......
Light casts no shadow.........
Anything that casts a shadow has to have form.......
God is formless.......
God is neither male or female, because God has no form.......

God is not male - we only use "he" because it is easy. He is neither.

The only reason why jesus was male was cos that is the only way he would be heard - you know how it was back then.
