Rotties ears are not cropped. It is not part of the breed standard. It will look like an overweight Doberman, not a Rottweiler with cropped ears.
And floppy ears are so cute anyway. Why put a dog through that?

Why on this green earth would you want to crop a Rott's ears? Cropping is a labor intensive thing that is done at about 9 weeks of age. The possibility of infection and even death is a reality. Also,if the cropping or the aftercare is done wrong, you'll get a dog with silly looking ears. Rotts are not a breed that is traditionally cropped. I can only think of a few reasons to do so...fighting (which is higly illegal and immoral) and machismo (that's another word for EGO.)

Try google images - I get the best results from them. I know this isn't part of your question, but I'm really against clipping ears unless it actually serves a purpose. If it is purely cosmetic do you think it is fair to your dog to do that? In my opinion it's not. However it is your dog and you are free to do what you like - just think about if it is really necessary. You should love your dog no matter what it looks like. In fact, I picked my dog at the shelter because she was kind of ugly and nobody else wanted her. Good luck and I hope you make a decision that is right for you!

Dog magazines are a great way to find pics or a doberman book. Vets are usually very good about knowing how to crop ears but why do you want to do it to a rott? Their heads are too wide to have it done. Its not natural. Dobies have narrow heads, they are supposed to have them cropped but not a Rott.

I love those little triangles ears on their big fat heads. They are so darn cute! Also, I think the breed is too stocky to pull off that look!

Rotties do not have their ears cropped. Only tails when 3 days old.

Who CARES what it looks like? It is cruel, painful and TOTALLY UNNECESSARY. It is simply wrong to mutilate an animal because of human vanity.
