I don't believe in "original sin." I think it's something that the people made up to scare the noodles out of others.

It is not God who made that scheme. That original sin of Adam and Eve have been taken away long time ago from among the Jews. In Deuteronomy 24:16, Ezekiel 18:3-26 and Jeremiah 31:29-30 God have long declared that the one who sins is the one who will die. The sins of the Father will no longer be charged against his son and the sins of the son will not be charged against his father.
The Christian Religions have nothing to keep the people live in fear and guilt except through that evil scheme so they can easily manipulate the mind. That is the first thing they do. The second is the tithing that is really supposed to be given to the government and the third is the condmenation to hell for those who do not belong to them. and the fourth is the end of the world campaign which had been in their teachings eversince the Christianity was formed. Until people are no longer afraid and becomes free, those four stages of fear will keep the people live in ignorance.

We are not born into "original sin." We have chosen to live mortal lives separate from God because that's what it takes to gain the "knowledge of good and evil." God has devised a scheme to get us back where we belong.

We were made perfect in the garden of Eden, then Adam and Eve sinned and no everyone after them is under the curse of sin, that is the original or first sin committed. It really wouldn't hurt agnostics and aethists to read the Bible before asking riduculious questions about the Christian faith. I always hear about them being so educated and seeing themsevles as logical, but they never read the Bible to understand it. They simply wanna cry and say dumb things like, "Why would a loving God let so many bad things happen?" boo hoo hoo, I'm tired of it. Grow up. We make bad choices and we suffer the consequences - its called being an adult and being held liable for our actions.

Since the original sin occurred because of the abuse of freedom God has been with us to restore or rather change our hearts to what we were meant to be. He loves us so much even in our terrible failures that he wants us all to be with Him intimately so much so that His only begotten Son was willing to give the supreme sacrifice and show the will of His Father for our reconciliation to Him. It isn't a scheme

Archy,
The idea of 'original sin" is a man-made idea. It is not found in the Bible and GOD does not mention it at all. Infants are sinless and remain so until they reach an age of understanding or accountability. Have a great weekend.
Thanks,

God didn't create sin.
Sin is anything that goes against God.
God gave us free will to be obedient or not.
God loves us or we would be mindless clones without a soul.

He didn't. He had a plan for what to do after they sinned, but it was not His desire that they do so.
