It's called "Straight Talk" and was developed by a speech therapist. (http://www.nathhan.com/straight.htm). I'd be interested in learning how it worked for other homeschooled families. Thanks!

I just wanted to clarify that I was thinking of this speech therapy program as a supplement to seeing a private therapist. We have some coverage for speech therapy but it's limited and is only good for maybe 10 visits. My daughter will be in gr. 7 in the fall and is no longer able to get speech therapy through our health services.

Excuse me, TAT, who said anything about demanding something?!! I was asking about a home speech therapy program and I added that we were going to get private speech therapy for our daughter. I did not object to that in any way, shape, or form. All I said was that our coverage was limited and in order to help our daughter as much as possible, I was hoping that this program would be a good supplement. Perhaps you ought to read the questions that people post here a couple of times to make sure you comprehend them properly before you leap onto your personal bandwagon.

This was discussed on one of my Yahoo groups and the consenus was that it was a waste of time/money.

If your child needs ST, and if you HS, then you should still be able to get ST from the school district. Or if your private insurance covers it, try that route.

You cannot keep your child out of public school and then demand they help her. You do not want them teaching her maybe you should not be asking them to help with speech.
