...then, considering the demise of the ancient Greeks / Romans / Egyptians / etc. religion (in which they believed in the concept of many gods / goddesses termed "polytheism"), will today's religions (particularly the "great three": Judaism, Christianity, Islam) also suffer the same consequences in the future time??? What is your prediction of the future religions of the world??? Will it transcend to atheism??? Considering the prospects of the advancement of science in the future, will scientology become the new "in" religion???

Incog: Yes and no - Christianity will undergo great persecution eventually and be forced underground. The ultimate future of the big 3 will be fulfilled at the Return of Jesus Christ to this earth. Thus; Christ will obviously, support those who have His name - "Christ"ians. I think Scientology may become a "fad" religion in the future. The real question therefore, remains, Will science, as a religion, follow the course of Greeks/Romans/Egyptians into demise? This demise could be in the form of nuclear proliferation (unless Jesus Christ steps-in to quell the misguided genius of man) !

Well, Dearest, in a sense you've answered your own question. History does repeat itself, and the Wheel of the World keeps on turning. Rome fell, England passed into obscurity and so will we. Christianity will become a minor religion to be replaced by something else (a Matriarchy would be nice) but what the furture brings I can't see. Just keep trying to make it better than it is now or we're stuck in the same pile of crap we are now.

Perhaps you neglected to recognize the continuation of Judaism and Christianity after the end of the Greek and Roman gods. Or the fact they continued longer than every ancient religion.

Judaism has existed for 4000 years, Christianity for 2000, and Islam for 1400 years. These religions are to big and influential to ever go away. Nearly half the world belongs to either one of these three. I believe God will preserve them until the return of Jesus Christ. God bless.

It will, the God willing. Do you know the Phenomenon called "Mafia"? So, if People all around the World would realize that some "humans" are using "Religions" (and the name of their Prophets) do manage their own-private businesses ... we will see "traditional" Religions "disappear". IT IS A MATTER OF CHANGING LEVEL OF COUNSCIOUSNESS. (Which is very wishable, from my point of view on past and present "History"). (I do not understand why people can't stand your profile's picture. ... Maybe they are too much concentrate on "outside" things, rather than "inside" things -your words, the essence of the problem that you point out, ...-? Anyway, if they dislike, maybe you can think to, at least, somehow "modify" it). PEACE.

Like a baby growing to adulthood and ending to old age. It is a cycle of life that keeps on repeating. Like that for every human generation, where there is always a cycle of beginning innocence developing into intelligence reaching the point destroying one another until a new life of innocence will begin again to become another intelligent being and once again end to total destruction making another beginning.

That's not what they meant by the term "If you do not know history than you are doomed to repeat it."
Because that basically means we repeat mistakes that have already been done.
Example: compare the Vietnam War to the Iraq War. Plenty of repeats.

It doesn't mean that *events* will regurgitate themselves in new but similar forms.

Nice try, though.

"History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes" - Mark Twain.

To answer your question in that tone, I think some sort of religion will be around for the near future....recall that religion becomes more popular during bad times, and economic growth is not linear.
