me not eating is not the reason i feel ill. i have gallbladder dysfunction, there for, i get sick because i eat. i do exercise daily, i am not depressed etc. i know its not good for a body to have less than 1100 calories..i really just want to know if it is possible if my stomach shrank, i used to be able to eat so much and now i can barely hold half a sandwhich with out feeling as though i have over eated.

if you can't eat your cals then drink them. there are tons of low calorie protein drinks available. when you are ill or recovering from injury the body actually needs a caloric excess. a caloric restriction when ill is most likely going to extend the time it takes to make a full recovery. depending on your illness some can increase the resting metabolic rate

When you do not eat for a period of time your hunger does get less. You can still eat enough calories without the volume of food that you used to eat. Do not force yourself just take a little at a time. Try things that will not upset your stomach, maybe a milkshake or just some milk. You need to consume enough calories for you body to function or it will cause major health problems.

You're starving yourself, so I'm not surprised that you don't feel well, your body isn't getting enough calories to function properly. Anything less than 1,000 calories a day is considered a starvation diet. If you're looking for weight loss, you would be much better off just dieting and exercising.

When your blood sugar drops, long before you even get hungry, your body starts storing fat instead of utilizing it. This means that if you're starving yourself, your body is trying it's hardest to store as much fat as it can. If you were eating a healthy amount of food and exercising, however, your body would be utilizing that fat instead and you would be slimmer as a result.

Be careful and best of luck.

First priority: balanced diet.
Second: Women need at least 1200-1500 calories a day.
Third: Exercise 30 min a day at least...not only to get your heart pumping, but also to get your lymphatic system going to get all the lymph (toxins) out of your tissues...that may be one reason your feeling ill.
