In my life I have come accross hundreds of Bigoted Christians. I have seen both in person and on TV many fundamentalist religious groups who spread their hate accross the globe. Doesn't matter if they are Muslim or Christian or whatever. Hate is hate. Why would faith in God cause a person to hate so much?

Religion demands hate. They call it by other names, typically "love", but religion is all about hate.

Just because somebody says they're religious doesn't mean they are. Remember the Baker's? It isn't the religion itself that is full of hate, but the person standing in front of the congregation twisting the word's. The one with the power, the one with the Title, that person controls the blind and the weak. I've seen bigoted Christians, Muslims, atheists... they're called people. There isn't an explanation for any of it. All you can do is choose to be a better person than they are.

That is just so judgmental and far fetched. The very core of Christianity is love for others. How can it be hatred to try to throw a life-line out to those who are in danger of eternal death? You miss the point completely behind the Christian mission. We're commissioned by God to spread the Gospel. We condemn no one. We are just the messengers. The message comes from God. His Word is like a two-edged sword. It's the Christian, above all who realizes our sinful condition and need for a Savior. We are saved by grace.....nothing we have done....but the work of Jesus. The only difference in us and anyone else is that we wear the cloak of righteousness, not our righteousness, but the righteousness of Jesus. His blood has covered our sins and when God looks at us, instead of the sins we've committed, He sees Christ's cloak of righteousness. Faith in God doesn't cause hate, but humility and thanksgiving. It is something we wish to share with others, that they may partake of the love of God. May God reveal His love and the love of His people to all who presume they are hated. God bless and favor each one tonight.

Faith in God does not result in hate. People who hate will hate despite their belief. Some people just look for things to support their hate no matter what God wants.

Yes. It is sad. IF people are "religious" and racist--disliking/hating someone just because they are another race--they are misguided.

God doesn't cause them to hate. They choose that path themselves. I think they choose this path because it makes them feel better about themselves or because they are afraid of other races.

This is not an excuse though because fear is not from God! ("God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind.")

Because those particular people are looking more for a reason to feel better than others instead of seeking to know Gods will.

All this debates and arguments is caused by the notion of the “need to save others”, “we are the superior race” and “they are disbelievers”. We need to get over it and accept the fact that we were created by one God and He alone may judge and that people are entitled to their own beliefs. Peace.

Let's get one thing straight. A racist is a person who hates one or more or all races.
When you say Religious Racist, you need to clarify which religion and which race do you mean.

because it's human nature to dislike something you know nothing about ... usually it's fear that causes the hatred. I wish that the followers of Yeshua and Mohammed were more like those they follow and didn't believe in hating.

Elo .."Would you like to back that statement up with a bit of proof or evidence of christian bigotry?...........Nuf Said"

OK here's the backing up of that statement ... the Crusades, forced conversions, the Inquisitions, the statement the "one true" religion and everyone else is going to Hell... is that back up enough?

Because most people who would like to call themselves "religious" are about the farthest thing from it.

That's OK, they will have to face their racism and bigotry one day.

Faith in God does not have one thing to do with racism. Don't mix Religion and Politics. Racism is politically motivated
