I didn't when I joined the Marines I had to wait until I finished Basic training. When you receive your bonus will be spelled out for you in the contract you sign when you enlist.

No. After you finish AIT. You will get increments over your I'm assuming 6 years, on the anniversary date of your enlistment. Your not going to want a lump sum on that much. The taxes would take out a lot.

in basic terms some terminology first. you won't be able to have mandatory protection stress enlistment. this is consription that's the right term for forcing somebody into provider. In u . s . a . of america, with the type of little ones who attain draft age each and every twelve months, we've not got room interior the protection stress to take all of them so any conscription could be selective in nature and all does not serve. yet once you dismiss that and what if the placement, then you could desire that with the help of serving their us of a for a pair of years, young ones could be extra vulnerable to examine perplexing in a while having discovered a paintings ethic this is regrettably lacking in maximum young ones at present. while you're by way of actuality that each and each drop out could be compelled into the protection stress then i ought to ascertain the place you may think of that ought to incentivise young ones to stay at school. regrettably that's no longer the case. young ones do no longer think of approximately effects. subsequently they're young ones. i've got not got faith the drop out cost could replace in spite of the opportunity of compelled protection stress servitude anticipating them. at present below 30% of little ones are eligible to enlist by way of fact of coaching, ethical or scientific issues. for sure young ones do no longer care approximately effects. desire this helps. stable success!

No, don't hope for that.
First, you would need to complete Basic Training to stay in the military.
Then, you would need to complete the schooling required for the job bonus.
They're not going to give it to you "up front" without any guarantees that you would fulfill your contract with the military service.

I concur with those posting above....you will not get it until after you complete basic and AIT.
I doubt that you will recieve it in a lump sum, and you will lose a large chunk in taxes.
Hope this isn't the reason you signed up.
