Do you suppose it would go off well and peacefully, or not?

So far we have not had one in my town, probably because my town is not quite large enough, and there are a lot of Churches here;)

But in a near by town, which is a bit larger, we do have them... I have even taken part in one of them as an author...

So far things have been wonderfully peaceful and enjoyable.

However... I don't understand why so many can so easily accept a Renaissance Festival, which most often has boo koos of Pagans, but seem to be nervous of a Pagan Pride Day! We are proud of our faith just as anyone else would or should be, and we should have a day to gather and enjoy others that believe similarly to what we do in a loving environment.

I would hope that folks could be mature enough to understand that to be tolerant does not mean you believe in what someone else believes... only that you believe they have the same right as YOU do to beleive what you choose to believe.

Even thought we've had 8 years of Pagans in the Park, I doubt this VERY Conservative town will support a Pagan Pride Festival. Don't think it'd tolerate a Fringe Festival.

Just coping with a Buddhist Collage & Sudan Refuges.

OTOH the ones in out Capital City (100 miles to the east) went without much trouble.

I live in a very small town in the bible belt.....but the majority of the population is pretty open as long as things dont get to "out there"
Like a parade would probably be out of the question, but we do have a decent percentage of pagans and open minded people who to say the least would be curious. We do have medieval festival and many pagans show up in their dress and to sell their wares....
I have asked around town, because i am considering opening a little "witch shop" for lack of a better term...and have gotten several positive inquiries...but then again......it might be the burning times all over again!
lol sorry to ramble
Blessed Be!

It perhaps ok. it would count on the placement it was once placed and how a lot it would desire to cost me to pass there (selections and/or costs). an incredible library might interest me. If it have been dedicated to a top deity that i do no longer worship, i does not attend. in the community, the belief of a undertaking center has been presented up some circumstances. whether it truthfully's very intense priced. For the quantity of pagans we've suited right here, through the factor we paid the hire/very own loan of the construction and utilities, we'd each and every might desire to donate a huge quantity. no longer all pagans have super sums of money laying around and we don't opt to be solicited for income any respect circumstances.

I live in a very very very very very rural area and I am sure that someone would have to try to hurt someone and that I would get burned out. My neighbor are wonderful and they think I am wonderful, but a Pagan coming out party would really be pushing it. The little town I live in has maybe 100 people in it.

I came here to retire and get back to nature. So there is a price to pay when you want nature.

The problem with Pagan Pride Festivals is that you will usually find only that fraction of Pagans interested in making money from the Christian Marks. Remember, Pagan is an umbrella term, not a religion or specific group as are such as Wiccans.

We have a Pagan shindig every summer in the main park of our town. I live in a tolerant area. There are also voodoo priestess affairs, Buddhist festivals and even a mullet festival every July.

I live in a real small place I would be surprised if the town fathers would allow it. At the least it would be picketed. But there is a small following here and I would attend just because I am the curious type who wants to learn

I'd demand that Corpus Christi be celebrated down main street in that case, when its day arrived. Fair is fair, right?

But I would know it wasn't for a particular religion if there was a pagan pride march.
