I'm not sure if having one would be bad for him, but continually eating them, one after another, may cause some problems.

Phenylalanine, aspartame, and sorbitol are ALL sugar types, just for the record. None of these ingredients are good for you, and less good for a pet. No it will not kill him, but it's an unneccessary treat. Bad for long-term health and teeth! Give him something else, like a piece fo raw carrot, apple slice, rawhide, or dog biscuit when you are having your treat. That way, you each get a goody and he won't bum for something that's bad for him. If you really want to spoil him, get some carob chips (a chocolate-ish substance) which can be bought at most pet supply stores, online, and in health food stores. And, a note about dogs : There are very few things a dog will dislike, so do not feel bad withholding this from him, he would get just as excited about nearly ANYTHING else!

For now he is fine, if it was only one he ate.
The Maltitol you listed is a Polyol, like Xylitol (the poisonous ingredient in Altoids.) It has not been found to be as poisonous as Xylitol, but I would not trust it with my dogs.
In the Altoid case, the Xylitol killed many dogs because of liver failure.
The Sorbitol will most likely cause osmotic diarrhea, especially if given often.
The dyes and artificial sweeteners (like the Aspartame) are diffidently NOT healthy for your dog. I would stay away from any gum, mints, or candy.
Try giving him a slice of apple or a carrot. He will be equally happy and healthier. When he begs just tell him no, sit, and ignore him.
He might like the Icebreakers, but he would prefer a meat flavored dog treat any day.

Keep giving him water, and watch him. Don't be too alarmed if he throws up, its his bodies natural response to any toxins in the stomach, hopefully it'll pass without a problem, but if he refuses food for any reason, or he becomes overly lethargic or throws up frequently, and its clear or yellow, take him to the vet immediately. Try and keep these things out of his reach, just to prevent worries like this! :)

I wouldn't let my dog eat those poison dyes. The Phenylalanine, the aspartame.. The list goes on and on.. You shouldn't even be eating those things.. 1 is fine, but I wouldn't make a habit of it.. It's garbage.. You want to give your dog a good treat, give him some baby carrots.. Will help to clean that poison out of his mouth.

He'll be fine. Did he like it?Don't keep giving him them. Accidental is one thing but they should not be eaten a lot of or all of the time by either of you.

I think he will be fine if he eats that, but maybe you should just get real dog treats.

he wont die or anything, but dont let him eat them again. and of course he liked it! all dogs think anything except for their own dog food is heaven, because they are not used to eating it. it might make him sick tho. ;\
