Its when you apply color only to the new growth of your hair in which the color has grown out. That way the rest of your hair won't be over processed.

that's when people who dye their hair blonde
have the dark hair natural color growing in on
top on their part or scalp, it's called roots..
and the touch up means to dye it so the roots
aren't showing any more..

Hi there...it's when you only color only your roots...doing a full color on your hair all the time wrecks your hair color..

Depends on what you are talking about if it is color it means you are getting the new growth recolored to match your already colored ends if you are talking about a straightener then you are straightening the new growth that is not straight you get the idea I hope.
