The Four Archangels in Charge of Earth.
There are four angels and their innumerable retinues in charge of this world.
The first is Gabriel and his armies. He is in charge of soldier-angels and revelation. Gabriel insures victory and is responsible for the extinction of nations: human, animal, vegetal, or others, when God wills it.
The second is Michael and his armies, in charge of rain and vegetation. He conveys sustenance to nurture mankind.
The third is `Azra'il the angel of death and his assistants. They are in charge of seizing the souls of those who die.
The fourth is Israfil and his assistants, in charge of the Hour of the Day of Judgment.
When the earth has passed away God will order these angels to bring forth their scrolls and they will bring them. Then God will order them to open the Book of Life. They will then find that their scrolls are the same as it.

The most powerful angel the first of the sons of God there is only one. Michael the great prince according to
Daniel 12:1 And during that time Mi´cha·el will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of your people. And there will certainly occur a time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, every one who is found written down in the book.
And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches [and] to indefinitely lasting abhorrence.
he has the power to ressurrect people and he is going to bring a great tribulation.
In any place in the bible says that Gabriel is Archangel the only mention in the whole bible is Michael see Revelation 12:7 he is the one that fulfill Genesis 3:15, he is the first sons of God in heaven that is why he is the chief of angels.
By the way Jesus has the voice of Archangel ( 1 thessal. 4.16) and also can resurrect people and also he will bring great tribulation (matthew 24) and also is the firstson of God (colossian 1:15-17) and also he is the chief of angels.
How many coincidence.
postdata: Satan wasn´t a Archangel he was a cherubim (Ezekiel 28:11)

Archangels are the most powerful of the Angels.
Angels were created as messengers of God.
The Scriptures reveal that God created nine orders of angels:
Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominations, Principalities, Powers, Virtues, Archangels, and Angels.
Out of this order come the familiar seven Archangels which include
Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel, Sariel, and the fallen Lucifer.
So, there were 7.

The archangels compromise another choir of the angels and possess special powers and duties, including announcing the end of the world and judgment:
1 Thess. 4:16 – “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first…”
Scripture reveals the names of three archangels: Michael, Gabriel and Raphael.

An Archangel is the lead angel of an angel choir (a group of thousands of angels). There are 10 Archangels that lead 10 choirs in the Kabblah thought system. They have Hebrew names and are each attributed certain human needs to preside over.
Run a search on the Kabbalah (Kabalah, Qabala, etc.) and you will get plenty of info.

-an angel ranked above the highest rank in the celestial hierarchy
-garden angelica: a biennial cultivated herb; its stems are candied and eaten and its roots are used medicinally
-An archangel is a supernatural being of Zoroastrian Persian, Judaic, Christian, and Islamic theology, counted among the angels. According to the rabbi Simeon ben Lakish of Tiberias (230–270 CE), all the specific names for the angels were brought back by the Jews from Babylon, and many modern commentators would argue that the details of the angelic hierarchy were largely Zoroastrian in origin.

There are seven Archangels. They are the highest rank, and stand before the Throne of God, as a sort of honor guard. Satan was once one of them.
