Well, since I've been out of high school for about 2,3 years now,I'm going to give you my opinion as of me back then.I wouldn't bother calling him much.Always let a guy call you first. If he's really interested on you,let him come to you.
If he really likes you as well, let him find a way to communicate with you and what's best since he's the one without a cell phone.
Personally, when I was in high school,I've never dealt with that. All my exes back then had a cell phone. Not to mention, they were older than me as well.
But,word of advice, never call his house too much.Eventually, his family will get bothered unless they really like you or you are definitly ok to be calling his house.Like I said, let him handle the best way to keep in touch and let him call you.
Myspace and Messengers work as well. But,I wouldn't trust that.I don't know if he will let his buddies read the messages you sent to him. After all,it's high school and dudes in high school are immature enough to do that.
Good luck.

I was in high school right around the time cell phones were becoming common and nobody I went to school with had a cell phone. We called this archaic device known as the land line (ie the house phone). Now here it is 15 years later and I have several email accounts, a Blackberry, a cell phone and a land line and guess what. My boyfriend will try me on my home phone first unless he already knows that I am out or at work.
My 30 year old co worker doesn't even own a cell phone because after a while it's a pain to always be "on call". If you are worried about privacy on his end, that is something he'll have to deal with on his own with his family.

Sorry if your interpersonal skills are hampered by technology. But realistically this doesn't change much for you. It just means you have to flirt in person or over the phone. In person is the most effective form of flirting anyway, so I'm not sure why you're worried about this. But if it becomes that serious of a problem for you, you could always get him a pager or a phone of his own.

smoke signalls is a good idea as is morse code.
there used to be this thing that everyone did before cell phones and internet were around. It think its called something like "letter writing". im not sure though. just pass him notes in class make sure your teachers dont see you.
or you could stalk him for a while or force him to get a cell phone by punching him till he says yes.
or you could just ask him out.
its such a tragerty that a guy living in the year 2007 does not have a cell.

yep you are right it did sound stupid. How about actually going up to him and talk with him, laughing with him, and getting to know him without the damn cell phone. God i hate cell phones! It has taken the place of people actually really talking with people face to face. I mean come on, if you are going to try to get with this guy what are you going to do if you guys start dating, and then marriage. Are you going to text him that you want to have cyber sex with him rather than just asking him?
it is an easy fix. Just put the phone down, back away from it quickly and go talk to your guy.

If I were you I would do two things:
Man up and just call him, it doesn't matter what kind of phone he has, you're still talking...
Or you can ask him to just go like to the school football game or school event some night, its casual and you can talk, or go bowling or something, or ask him out!
But I wouldn't NOT hang out or call him just because he doesn't have a cell phone, because I don't, and I know how he feels because most people don't wanna talk to them on the house phone, and it sucks.
My advice is just talk to him on the house phone, if you wanna get to know him/if you like him, you'd do it.

Hey dummy.... you don't need a stupid cell phone to talk to or flirt with a guy, People for centuries prior didn't need such technologies to have a frigging conversation with some one they like... How superficial are you any way?

Hmmm......I would suggest, This might be a bit old school for you.. But, How about talking to him face to face? Then you can flirt with him all you want!!! You can even have a conversation without using your phone...It's even rumored that such things can be VERY enjoyable... You might even get to kiss him!!! That's something you can't do over the phone!!
Give it a try!!! You'll like it!!!

well if he doesnt have a cell phone obviously you cant just make him get one so you will have to use his home phone. if not, does he have instant messaging, email, or myspace? not everyone uses the internet or cell phones so there are other ways to talk. why dont you just hit on him in person? he will probably like it better.

If you like this guy, he could have two styrofoam cups as a phone, you'd call him.
Stop being so concerned about that. Obviously, he is not a guy who is into that. Or maybe his parents don't want him to have one. Whatever the case, it's cheaper, efficient..and works...call him at home
