She might have muscular thighs and just evenly carries her weight....
I have the saem problem.
People think my legs are fat until i flex them... they're pure muscle.
Muscle weighs more than fat... so that may be the answer.

Your niece is overweight but not obese. If she lost just to 155 she would be within the high range of normal.
A good diet plan would be:
No potatoes, no corn, peas or rice or ice cream, no sweets. Eat as many vegetable as you want. You need at least three servings of low fat milk products a day. Have three servings of fruit a day. Apples and banana's are high calorie so limit to no more than three per week.
Lots of good protein, low fat chicken, beef, pork and fish. Nothing FRIED!
you can have teas or diet soda's. Eight glasses of water per day.
Also she should exercise if it's nothing more than walking or bicycling.
Good Luck~

Maybe she is all muscle. Or maybe she is just like that. You never know but if your really that concerned ask the doctor and he could give you the information on what a girl that is 5'7 should weigh. But you don't want her anoerix either.

Weight is not the same as fat. If she has little fat, then she must have a lot of muscle and just have been born with a large frame (like me). As long as there's nothing clogging her arteries and she's not eating very badly, a lot of weight is nothing to be worried about.

she is just a little overweight not extremely.
unless she has muscle.
if it is muscle then she isnt overweight.
tell her to exercise regularly and not eat fast food and eat smaller portions and healthier food. getting her down to at least 155 she will be at a healthy weight. about 120-159 is normal weight for a 5'7 girl but it depends on how old they are and who they are because weight varies person to person.

She isn't obese, and nicely in the type of regular. Please ignore approximately that answer that stated that she could drop some pounds, that's incorrect. She is healthful and punctiliously universal. dropping weight could desire to be risky to her well being, weight-reduction plan throughout teenage years isn't stable via fact the physique continues to be becoming and needs sufficient meals to function and improve precise.

She may be a little overweight, but she's pretty tall and taller people who are in shape and are at their average weight weigh more than shorter people.

Ummm....I'm 155 and 6 feet. Is that fat too? You need to worry about yourself instead of giving your niece grief about her weight and driving her to an eating disorder.
