You have one of the earlier HO engines at 190 HP the non HO from 87-90 were 178.
Believe me,,if you want..that is only the beginning. Stroker..gained 52% HP at the rear wheels and 61% torque..yes, with a dyno..warning..rear axle will not take this..for long...Ford 8.8 now...ha ha.

I know the 4.0L H.O. 6 cylinder engines get 195HP the standard 4.0L 6 cylinders get 185-190HP. As far as the 4 cylinder engines I don't know on those, I'd never own a Jeep with a 4cylinder.

2.5 4 cyl or 4.0 inlie 6?

both are very low hp, but the 4.0 has like 180ft lbs of torque.

you race with hp, you drive with torque.

the power maybe about 110 HP or less cause i think the 4.0 was 170 HP...i'm suggest,change with chevy 5.7 engine..in my country ( indonesia ) a lot of people use it for speed of road,and the result was great.
