I'm applying for a position as a client representative at Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks & Mortuaries and I wanted to know what it's like??! Are there any specific skills needed that are pertinent the job?

It's differerent! Few peopole work for them, and there is little turnover.
Probably the biggest asset, is to be able to relate to people who are in a state of grief, or are doing something they just wish they didn't have to do. Patience and diplomacy go a long way.

You do see people in times of grief that don't know if they want a plot or a place to store an urn for a loved one who was cremated.
You also get loved ones of deceased who complain about disrespectful people who walk their dogs through cemeteries (it happened at my father's cemetery) where an owner let his dog "you know" on a grave stone. You also get rowdy teenagers making a shortcut through the grounds. On other occasions it is sometimes your own staff that cannot operate the lawn mower properly. (This also happened at my father's cemetery). The guy actually drove over a flower bed and then clipped a gravestone while turning a corner.
You also get many days of complete tranquility.

i dont know what a client rep would be at a cemetary does that mean you represent the dead. if thats the case then you should wear black and avoid any iron in your diet.
