"all" of ANY group or category of people do not think the exact same way about everything. There are a great many people who are not atheists who absolutely believe that the government has no business dictating to women that they shouldn't have the right to decide for themselves NOT to gestate an unwanted foetus. By the same token, there are plenty of atheists who are opposed to abortion. Being for or against abortion is an entirely separate issue from whether or not a person believes in the existence of a mysterious, invisible superbeing.

No. I think abortion should be performed under certain conditions so I am not as strict as Christians. But I don't think abortions should be used as a means of birth control. I believe an abortion should be performed to protect the life and health of the mother. I believe it should be performed in cases of rape or incest. I believe it should be performed if the baby will be born deformed in mind or body. I believe any other abortion is cold blood murder. A woman's right to choose should end when she chose not to make him use a rubber. I believe the morning after pill is ok. BB

HI Tang,
I am not an atheist but I know several. There are Christians, Agnostics, and Atheists who believe in killing babies and there are those who do not believe in MuRdEr at all. I am totally against murderring the unborn as much as I am the living. Have a wonderful evening.
Thanks,
Eds

I don't think so, probably more than not though. I believe in karma, and if I ever have an abortion, I would have to worry about ever being able to have a baby.

I don't think anyone actually favours abortion.

As far as choice, I think atheists are far more likely to be pro-choice, but by no means does being atheist mean being pro-choice.

(Good question, btw, Ignore the rude answers)

No.

However, many atheists are in favor of the freedom to choose to have an abortion.

Abortion? I'm in favor of a choice to an abortion but not the use of abortion as a protection use.

I can't imagine anyone truly being 'in favor of abortion'. Not all atheists are in favor of CHOICE.
