i am in the process of disputing credit and the it is hard to read the report. can i dispute and item on my file that does not have the information for "date of last payment or date of last activity? please advise

You can dispute the item. Unless it contains false information, that won't change anything. If you post the nature of the item, someone may be able to tell you if removing it would even help.

Great question! Yes, of course you can "DISPUTE" anything on your report to a Credit Bureau and you should to clean up your report and any discrepancies.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

That said you should also consider getting a FREE Credit Report from the (3) Major Credit Bureaus on an annual basis to make sure everything on their is legitimate?

If they cannot verify an item you dispute it will be REMOVED from your report under the Fair Credit Act in the US.
