I'm not talking about religion here, faith in, God and Jesus.... spiritual things like heaven, the Bible.

Good point. However, it is easier for them not to believe in God since it suddenly makes things like fornication, lying, cheating, etc. ok. By making themselves the "god," they can decide what is right (not sin) for themselves, whether or not it is TRULY right (not sin). They also feel, similar to the lonely and/or dirty-minded boy or girl that suddenly turns gay, that they will fit in with the atheists-religion group better since those in that religious group will ALSO condone their acts (i.e., saying something like "Well, there's no God, so if it feels right it must be the right thing to do"). Not very intelligent of them is it? ;)

I don't understand why you would believe in something that has no evidence proving its existance. Perhaps it is because your spirit is so young. Maybe you and other believers have not yet learned how to use logic.

Maybe. I think the fundies are young souls because they aren't capable of independent thought yet.

Hmmm. Except, you know if you've talked to many of us that the vast majority of atheists USED to be believers. It was by studying our beliefs that we became atheists. So your logic doesn't really work there...

Yes you are correct, as you get older the more likely you are to believe because you are afraid of death.

Has nothing to do with young "spirits". It is just that we are using our heads and logic.
