Why do Christians thumb their noses at Pious Paris Hilton's new-found spirituality?

A while back an Australian model got picked up in Indonesia with a couple of ecstasy tablets. Indonesia is a fairly strict muslim society, so she got sent to prison. Next thing you see, she has photos taken in a burka, saying she had converted to Islam because it is the true faith. Suddenly she is released. Arriving back in Australia, she stepped of the plane in skinny jeans and a tight top - how muslim?

Could this just be a ploy by Paris to get out of jailfree or at least early? Probably not - that would require far more intelligence then she actually has.

Why does it have to be Christians who thumb their noses at Paris? I'm pretty sure EVERYONE thumbs their noses at Hilton. Once again, it's not nice nor accurate to generalize any action on a whole group.

Do you believe this new found spirituality to be sincere? Let's see, she's made a sex tape, dresses very scantily, drinks and drives and "thumbs her nose" at the court by continuing to drive when her license was suspended.
I realize some have to hit bottom and humble themselves before they appreciate what God has to offer and if this is the case then I'm extremely happy for her.
I hope I'm wrong but I believe she may be playing on people's sympathy.

Jesus seems into human beings's hearts, not their minds, that's fortunate for Paris. And as scripture tells us, Jesus regarded into Paris Hilton's heart and located a used contraceptive gadget.

I am not a christian, but I can tell you I am laughing at her 'new found' spirituality. The depth of her intelligence and concern for others is as shallow as mud puddle in my front yard.
Once she takes her monthly salary or 'allowance' and instead of buying clothes, donates it to any spiritual or religious group, I will be surprised.
according to one website she has turned to Buddha to 'save' her from her 23 day jail sentence..
I guess when that didn't work she turned to God. lol
She is doing this for publicity and publicity only.. the only thing Paris will really gain from this experience is more pics from paparazzi in front of and coming out of spiritualtemples/churches. I am assuming she thinks that this will make the public feel bad for her.
The real question is, in regards to her jail time, what would have happened if she would have hit someone or something on her night of drinking?
would she be praying to God or Buddha to keep her out of jail for life?
OR would she be praying to the green God of money and her lawyer to keep her safe?
Nobody takes this woman seriously (well at least the intelligent people I know).
This is a fad for her, it is 'HOT' and trendy to be spiritual. She plays the hot and trendy card very well.
When this no longers works for her or is not to her advantage she will drop it like it is really 'hot'.....

I hadn't heard about it, actually... But if she wants to become spiritual, that's great. More power to her. But, if anyone IS "thumbing their nose" it's probably because so many people become more Spiritual after having run-ins w/ the law. If she maintains this spirituality then I am sure more people will be proud of her.
