for most protestant christians, they say we are immediatley judged after death and sent to heaven or hell.

ok....then why would jesus come and rapture all the saved in christ and take them to heaven IF THERE ALREADY THERE?

And for the unsaved, why would they need to be judged at the great white throne judgement and sent to hell IF THERE ALREADY THERE?

please help

Believers' souls are in heaven, not their bodies. At the rapture, their bodies with their souls will rise and be made imperishable. The Great White Throne judgment occurs at the end of the millennium. Check out the first link below for an article that should help you understand the events of the end times.

I am a non-Denominational Christian, and I don't believe that one immediately goes to heaven or hell upon death. I think the soul waits until Jesus' second coming, and if that person was a saved Christian, they will be raised up and meet Jesus in the air. Then the living Christians will meet Jesus in the air as well. After some other events occur, the Great White Throne judgment happens, in which all living and dead non-Christians are judged. The people are sent to their appropriate places at that time. I don't know if Christians will immediately go to heaven or if they will live with Jesus during His millennial reign on the "new earth".

Congradulations! You have taken your first steps out from under the curtain of false religion. The light of truth is bright out here.

The proper worship of God from the Bible above all makes reasonable sense. He defines reason itself. Everything He does makes sense. This belief is clearly not based on Bible principles because there is no reasoning to it.

Now go on to the next step. If these are not the true religion, what is? Find what is reasonable and compare it to the Bible to make sure it agrees with the teaching. That is how you find the truth.

The Bible says we go to either paradise or prison, apparently depending on how well we followed the commandments. Then we are all resurrected, and then judged, and then sent to wherever we deserve to go.

None of us go directly to heaven (unless you are Elijah or a prophet like that).

You make a good point. As I do not usually get involved in religious interpretations, I can not take a stand on either side. You are seeking a logical answer for something that is not at all based on logic. Our personal relationship with God is not logical...and it can not be proven to anyone else. If you have that relationship, ask God. He will let you know if it is important for you to know.

That is why you either go to Hades or Paradise when you die. The Bible says at the time of judgment Death and Hades will give up their own for judgment.
