What could be more selfish than wanting salvation? Out of the 100,000 different sects all believe they are the correct one and only those will go to heaven. Why is it that all Christians just want to take and not give? But what can you expect from a religion that doesn't let you think for yourself.

I would answer you but there is nobody here to help me think. My college education didn't include thinking.

What could be more selfish than wanting salvation?

It would be selfish if it was false.

Out of the 100,000 different sects all believe they are the correct one and only those will go to heaven.

It's only about 4 or 5.

Why is it that all Christians just want to take and not give?

Take what? You mean all the christian homeless missions and unwed mother programs.

But what can you expect from a religion that doesn't let you think for yourself.

You mean like a fatherless child, with no rules and restraints? Sin is fun for a season.

Unfortunately, the word "Christianity" has lost it's true meaning. Many people claiming to be Christian are far from the idea of Christian. Forgive me but the want of salvation, I do not feel is selfish. In the times we are living in now, it is impossible to think that a person can make it out there are on their own. Even when it becomes at the end of the road following death, at that time, even that one will beg to be spared. It has been embedded in our hearts to want to survive and continue living. No one is the correct religion or the wrong religion. We all have our own faith and beliefs that in end will fall into one pot anyway. We have different parts and peices from one tree and we are not putting them together because people are busy attacking each other. To say "all" Christians is a blow to those who really aren't what you say they are. Perhaps yes "some" take and not give. But idealy we should do quite the opposite. Yet, we are human and not perfect and sometimes we make mistakes. When someone see a fault in a couple, they believe all are that way. Not only you but even myself. We are human and it just takes time to make things right. Not every religion is perfect or great. Any religion that does not openly allow you to make a choice isn't much of a religion at all. And "every" religion "does not let you think for yourself." Then what does that say about Religion period?

That's not true, the Truth is there for everyone, and u have to chose what u wanna do, if u decide to take the wrong way... who's fault is that??? God give us the free will and his written word, the Bible, its something easyer than that??? The problem is that the humans have the sin in their hearts so that makes so difficult to follow the correct path.
The options are there... what are u going to choose??

Why is it selfish to ask for salvation , I think your missing the point .
What exactly do we take and not give .
You sound bitter my friend .
AND every religion is by its basest nature is selfish because they all want YOU to follow what their words say . Despite what any religion says , that's the case , pure and simple .

I think for myself..and no one could make a human being that can live and breath without being plugged into an electrical outlet.
I believe it is amazing that babies grow into human beings from cells.
It is truly amazing that God could touch my heart, while most of the people I have known have hurt me.
There is nothing to question here and nothing to brain wash me into believing God does not exist. He is incrediable.
I think it is selfish for people to talk horrible about God and what he has done for all of us.

You are quite right. Christians are extremely selfish. They think only of themselves, and they believe that their faith should drive everyone else's behavior. Truly selfish people.
