Ok here's the deal- I used to work in a call center and everyone on my team knew about my passion for NASCAR and that I'm a die hard Jr fan. So last April one of my newer team members went (Begrudgingly) to the Phoenix race with her New boyfriend.
When she got back she casually tossed a photo on my desk and said "Here I thought you might like this one" and walked away. Well the photo was of Dale Jr making a pass on Matt Kenseth right over the finish line! I love this picture because even tho it was taken during the middle of the race, it still looks like he's passing for a win, so I have cherished this pic and even framed it!
Well in November of 2006 I had to stop working due to complications with my pregnancy and haven't gone back. Well last night I get a call from an unknown # so I let my machine pick it up. It's this former co worker who says, "my boyfriend has actually brainwashed me into liking NASCAR so I was wondering if you still have that pic I LENT you"
THAT'S BS!!!

I haven't called her back, I don't even know if I want to! I feel it's wrong for her to ask for it back after all this time!
Do I have to give it back????

I'm not going back to that job, my husband and I decided I should stay at home to care for our kids, so it's not like I'm ever gonna see her again.

Well since you aren't going back to work, tell her to f**k off. Actually find a Xerox machine and make a copy of it with your middle finger under the pic and send that to her.

A woman arrived at the Gates of Heaven. While she was waiting for Saint Peter to greet her, she peeked through the gates.
She saw a beautiful banquet table. Sitting all around were her parents and all the other people she had loved and who had died before her. They saw her and began calling greetings to her "Hello - How are you! We've been waiting for you! Good to see you."
When Saint Peter came by, the woman said to him, "This is such a wonderful place! How do I get in?" "You have to spell a word," Saint Peter told her.
"Which word?" the woman asked.
"Love."
The woman correctly spelled "Love" and Saint Peter welcomed her into Heaven.
About a year later, Saint Peter came to the woman and asked her to watch the Gates of Heaven for him that day.
While the woman was guarding the Gates of Heaven, her husband arrived. "I'm surprised to see you," the woman said. "How have you been?"
"Oh, I've been doing pretty well since you died," her husband told her. "I married the beautiful young nurse who took care of you while you were ill. And then I won the multi-state lottery. I sold the little house you and I lived in and bought a huge mansion. And my wife and I traveled all around the world. We were on vacation in Cancun and I went water skiing today. I fell and hit my head, and here I am. What a bummer! How do I get in?"
"You have to spell a word," the woman told him.
"Which word?" her husband asked.
" Czechoslovakia ."

I agree, it sounds like she gave it to you, but to save face, you might want to go make a copy of it and give her the copy. That way, if you go back to work, there won't be any weird problems between the two of you.

Absolutely Not! That was a gift and just because you change your mind, that doesn't mean she has a right to it. Because you do not work with her anymore, that makes it easier. You can avoid her. If she calls again, tell her. Then if she continues to call, block her number or report it.

It is BS. She clearly gave it to you. You don't have to give it back.
But, if you want to be the bigger person, you could take the picture out of the frame, scan it, and make a copy of it for her. Again, you don't have to do it, but it would show what a nice person you are.
But Gordon is better....LOL.

No, you do not and should not give it back to her. A gift is a gift and that is it. It is up to you if you care what she thinks of you or if you are worried that you may have to deal with her in the future. If you gave her a piece of pizza, do you think that she be like , I owe you this pizza, enjoy. Hell no she would not. If she gave it to you, she GAVE IT TO YOU.

You're a longtime, hardcore fan and she's a newby so KEEP IT! You won't have to deal with her or worry about seeing her again. It's not hers to decide what happens to it now, possession is 9/10ths of the law.
