Try to get it out using a small nail clipper while at the same time pressing the eject button, if this fail. Remove the unit, open the cover and carefully remove the cassette without damaging any other part.

Slowly give the cassette a lift using a small screw driver while pressing the eject button. Once the cassette is out carefuully and slowly pull the tape so it won't break. If it breaks, u'll have to take it to a mechanic to take out the player to fix it. If u r sucessful taking it out, run a head cleaner tape before playing again.

picked up the tip from another site. cassette was stuck "up" trying to come out. I could see it. Got a pair of tweezers, opened up the spread, managed to get the cassette between, got a good grip and to my absolute delight I pulled it right out. Looks like the paper label wasn't flat, crimped forming a ridge which jammed the cassette. I was lucky, the unit's OK and I tried a tape I knew was OK and it worked

To save money and time take it to the dealer.Trying to remove it yourself will cause more damage. The cassette player can be repaired by a pro.

Use a butter knife.
Try to ease it upward and then out.
The ribbon is probably tangled
around the back spool.
If this is the case, that particular
cassette will never play properly
again.
Sorry.
