Is there anyway to stop food cravings. I doesn't matter how hard I try, I always give in to the cookies or those little marshmallows. Any tips are welcome =]

dont deny yourself. plan a cookie or two into your daily eating, so you dont end up binging on it because your are dying for it.

if that isnt satisying enough, hard chocolate candies or chewing gum can help.

I have heard some say it takes about 10-15 minutes to out wait a craving so perhaps going for a walk, reading, drinking a glass of ice cold water or anything that relaxes you will help. Also if they present a problem for you don't bring them into your home where they are easily found & consumed. I'm not saying give up your favorite food/snacks all together but try only consuming one or two serving sizes per week that way you don't gorge later.

Also don't snack while you are on the phone or watching television because you do so mindlessly.

the only way to stop the cravings is not to give in. After you go long enough w/out the food, the craving will go away

i have the same problem. when i get cravings i try to do something to occupy my time so i dont give in (like go for a walk, play basketball, etc.) youre less likely to even get cravings if you keep moving. also drink lots of water. it helps keep you full and hydrated.

Often times when we think we're hungry, we're actually thirsty. Drink a tall glass of water slowly before you let yourself eat. Usually, if you're not truly hungry, the "feeling" of hunger will go away. Also, if you are hungry, but want to eat more healthy, keep healthy snacks that are easy to grab, like apples or baby carrots (for me it's dill pickles) handy, and eat that instead!!
