Not all Christians always smile.. BUT those that do.. often smile because they are happy to know that they have the Lord in their heart..

Personally, I think that it's important to smile.. because if people just sat and looked at everything that was wrong with the world, they'd all be so down that there would be very little of any kind of happiness in the world anymore..

People need to smile because they need to keep in mind that they are alive.. that they are living life.. No matter how good or bad it is, (and believe me, I've been to some low lows).. It's important to realize that there are things in the world to smile at.

Because they have found what they need in their lives to make them smile. They (and non-Christians too) believe that there is a greater purpose that just this life, and something like cancer is not the end of the world (no pun intended). I smile as an agnostic because I am happy. I choose not to let things let me down, they're gonna happen weather or not I am happy or sad.

Christians get cancer too as do their families. Our smile comes from within because we trust in God and can lay our burdens on Him. No, he may not always cure our cancer or any other disease but we know that He will be with us no matter what. As to our smiling when someone else gets sick...it doesnt mean that we do not care or do not have compassion for that person. On the contrary, most of us feel very badly for them and do what we can to help.

If someone just gave you, tax free, 5 million dollars--would you smile. Or would you sour and refuse because people have cancer every day?
I know people with cancer, and they are smiling because they know they have something better than 5 million useless dollars. They have Christ in their heart which is far greater than riches. It is 100% assurance of eternal life--a new body--and a joy unspeakable. Why shouldn't we smile?

Salvation is personal. Why should we intrude other humans' right? We Christians smiles always because we have the reason to be joyful. We are assured of eternal life in Jesus no matter what happens in this earth we live. So that we are always ready to die in order to live and always ready to live in order to die. (John 3:16; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9)

I don't think Christians really smile more than most people. However, I've been to a few third world countires, and the people there smile a whole lot more than people in the U.S. Ironic isn't it you're angry for hardships in the world and the people with more hardships aren't even that angry, maybe you could learn something from them. Actually it seems you're anrgy enough for the entire third world :)

We smile because we have found a joy in life, and a reason to live, We can make a change, we know the truth. If it drives you crazy maybe you should try being a christian. ( It feels amazingly better)

Try asking one of us crazy, smiling christians. We aren't allways happy, but we know that we are loved and that there is always a purpose.

Today is the day that the Lord has made, I willrejoice and be glad in it.

I guess we smile because we feel gratitude for being granted this life. Those of us who believe in the promise that if we seek we will find, if we ask an answer will be given us. We pray for strenghth to carry the burdens of life without complaint. I regret you are offended by our optimism.

Anti-depressants in the sacrament wafers/ wine or other items used in their particular sect..

OR

They are just happy every time they see you because you are such a great person..

Why should it matter to you whether or not they are smiling? Worry about making yourself happy and let them smile all they want...
