Okay, I'm libertarian so my initial view on this issue is fairly unbiased with regard to the opposing sides. While I disagree with the objectifying of ANY law as absolutely dogmatic as conservatives believe, I don't share the same liberal bleeding-heart as you do.
Conservatives (in their most extreme form) believe that laws are commandments from God and the state is the prophet from which they are cast down upon the people. Pragmatically speaking, and with emphasized regard to more moderate conservatives, to object to a law in any other way than in a lawful manner is wrong, so they say.
While they aren't fascists that wish nothing more than to sacrifice individual freedoms for the sake of the nation as liberals so love to accuse them of being, they would rather suppress any sort of alleged 'toxicity' that threatens the nation's stability and autonomy. This is a much more level-headed way of looking at things.
Any kind of immigration is bad for the economy in that it takes jobs from other citizens and inflates the population. Therefore, there is an obvious underlying agenda behind conservative arguments. They say they are alright with LEGAL immigration but they immediately accuse someone of heresy if they proclaim changes in law that allows MORE annual immigration creating more legal immigrants. Mention changes in law that require immigrants to learn English before entering the country (another conservative complaint) and they react similarly.
In fact, if you say anything that requires a change in law, they will blatantly disregard you. This isn't because they are mean, they are just trying to do what they believe is good for the country. These are very patriotic individuals with strong values and conviction. There is an underlying motive to their excuses. They know a simple change in law can solve everything, it's just that such a law threatens the status quo in every way. With such an influx of immigrants, we would be affected economically, politically, sociologically, culturally and diplomatically. They are just trying to preserve American identity and security.
Now, I'm an Existentialist so I'll be the first to tell you that object 'truth' does not exist. All we have is perception and, in this case, conservative perception has certain values and morals and priorities, just as liberal perception does. It's just a matter of what you value, not right and wrong.
I personally am fairly indifferent to this issue. I live in Arizona where most of my friends are Hispanic and many are illegal. Liberally, I understand that these are good, hardworking people who are often demonized for petty political purposes and are merely in hot pursuit of their own liberty and happiness. Conservatively, I understand that it is pragmatic to conserve national presence, especially in light of globalization.
Just take in to consideration the opposing perception, and acknowledge that there is no truth.

This is not about hatred. This is about economics. If the U.S. was being overwhelmed by Canadians, they would experience the same heated reactions as do the illegals from south of the border.
Immigration quotas protect the U.S. from overpopulation, undue strain on resources and infrastructure. Quotas also have a stabilizing influence on job markets and wages.
If you believe that there is undue bias shown toward Latinos, let me pose a question for you:
If the southern border of the United States had been next to a country with a 100% black population, and they had started border jumping to the same extent as the Latinos, would it have taken 30 years for the Americans to finally want it ended?
It seems to me that U.S. citizens have been extremely patient and tolerant with the immigration situation. They are beginning to become frustrated with a dilemma that should have been resolved long ago. They are frustrated with their own ineffective government and are directing their ire in that direction. Just as Mexican Nationals should be directing their ire toward their own system that has failed them.
Don't you understand that without effective immigration controls, the United States would fast become the sort of country that nobody would want to go to (legally or illegally). An open-door policy would quickly destabilize us economically, and lead to social chaos. Putting gasoline in your car's tank is normally not dangerous, but if the tank overflows the chance of an explosion happening increases dramatically. America doesn't want that to happen...........

I think "hatred" is probably too harsh a term. I am a first generation eastern european, both parents born overseas. They came to the US to escape the occupation and communism. However, they, unlike many illegals today, followed proper immigration policies and procedures. They did not hide in a freighter or jump the border and compromise US policy. They became educated and held professional positions. My parents never requested state financial aid and my Dad served in the Army during the Korean conflict. They paid their dues to their country. I do have a real issue with illegals tapping into our financial resources and I'm really upset with the notion that they don't have to abide by our laws and regulations. Motor vehicle insurance, D.L's, health insurance, etc. seems to only apply to the rest of us. In sum, I don't have a problem with immigration to better lifestyle, however, this must be done properly and only if the immigrant can contribute to society as a whole. They should not expect a better life without working for it and paying their dues as well.

In reading these answers, I feel that I have to respond...1st of all, undocumented (or illegal) aliens are, with a few exceptions, BARRED from receiving financial assistance from the government, such as Food Stamps, Medical Assistance, or TANF. The only way that undocumented aliens can get financial assistance directly from the government is if there's a medical emergency. At least that's the case in Wisconsin; I believe the rules are similar in other states as well.
There are cases where undocumented aliens can indirectly receive aid through their U.S.-born children, which the Constitution states are citizens.
2nd of all, most of the undocumented aliens I work with DO make a serious attempt to learn English. However, English is difficult for many people to learn; especially if one's educational background is limited to begin with.
Finally, if you don't like how loud a person's stereo is, call the police!

Termites aren't criminals, either, but they're going to damage your house if you tolerate them.
Poor illegals are eating up our substance with free healthcare, free educations, and by typically living (happily) in greater density than our public utilities were designed for (water, sewer, roads). Never mind the criminals that pack our courts, even if we are only talking about traffic violators.
Educated illegals are cutting the salaries of what used to be better paying jobs to the point that Americans don't even learn them anymore, and we're not far from not even having competent teachers for them. The game plan is to come do the jobs here cheap, and learn enough to move the entire job overseas. That's already noticeable when you call a corporate information center and you're talking to New Delhi to get Arrival and Departure information about Kennedy Airport.
How unfair is it to have a country that's for our own people first? Why would it be so bad to simply say that people can only come here if they have a job, and that no organization can have more than 25% immigrant workers, excluding owners, and no business can be more than 50% immigrant owned? Most countries won't let immigrants own businesses at all.
Just what the hell is wrong with the idea of a country being for its own people first?

i agree that people should want to live a better life thats only natural but the law says you have to do it a certain way. now their are alot of thing that would make my life better but if its illegal then i get in trouble here i pay my fines or serve my time or whatever the law says is my punishment. i don't get an exception because im having a hard time. so for a none citizen the law should be to max. because i pay taxes for this system, they don't and because they are here on their will they should be at the fate of our law no better than me and our law says they can't be here in the way that they came there is a system good or bad its there they should pay for their crime and do it the lawful way if it can be fixed then change it in the way our forfathers designed. they had it right before we went in the past 50 years really messed it up

Yes, this country was founded on immigration. God bless each and every one of those wonderful immigrants that came into this country LEGALLY and brought with them their knowledge, skills and the great diversity this once great country was founded on. The hatred is for the sneaky criminals that come here illegally. Say what you want but JUST BEING HERE ILLEGALLY IS A CRIMINAL ACT. Illegals are criminals. period They show a blatant disregard for our laws just by being here. They are a drain on our country. Believe me deporting illegals would not throw this country into financial chaos. We would not be so over crowded. If the illegals were not here to suck up jobs for peanuts the the asshole businessmen would be forced to pay a decent wage to people that are here legally. Every legal person American or not would be better off with the illegals shipped back to their country of origin.

I am all for a better life but at what expense? Why is it up to us to fund someone elses better life?
Who feels sorry for our working poor? Who feels sorry for our taxpayers? Who feels sorry for our people? I have nothing against those who are looking for a better life but when you get it by hurting our people I then have a problem with it. 2.5 Trillion is a lot of money to set in place yet another set of laws that nobody will obey and will not be enforced by our government, yet again the taxpayers loose.
I do not hate any humans, no matter race or nationality but the people of this country come first and our tax payers are overburdened as is, the hate you feel is coming from taxpayers who are feed up with the way WE are treated. I have no problem with working on worker programs and even the path citizen process but giving it to people is not the answer. My question to you is what about the people who are taking the legal route to citizenship? Where do they fit into your conscious? How about our people?
We are a nation of immigrants and most of us welcome legal immigrants.

once you're worried approximately offending a Jew or Muslim, ask them what's suited habit and what isn't. they would know you and be chuffed to respond to your protocol questions in case you ask them in an excellent way. Our small city is getting a great sort of Muslims. u . s . a . of america has rules approximately how definitely everyone seems to be meant to act. i've got not got a undertaking with the yank Muslims. they're orderly and well mannered. the subject lies with the Palestinian Muslims. the internet website I published for you will inform you the actual tale at the back of what's occurring in Israel between the Jews and the Muslims in Gaza and Lebanon. i'm in all risk going to get a great sort of comments with the help of Muslims approximately how that article is biased Jewish propoganda. i won't be able to attest to how the Muslims recruit suicide bombers, yet i comprehend something to be genuine. countless years in the past while Israel rolled tanks into Gaza and Lebanon, I watched BBC information bills of the protection stress action on a daily basis. BBC gave bills that American television did no longer. Hezbollah and Hamas did cover their rocket launchers in civilian areas to ward off getting hit back with the help of the Israelis. Terrorists did cover at the back of the skirts of girls and young ones. One such team helped them to spoil out. American television confirmed Israelis had bombed civilian neighborhoods. What they did no longer say and BBC did is that the Israelis dropped warning leaflets in those neighborhoods telling the persons to get out. they chosen to stay then whined to the media while they have been given bombed. American television did no longer document it. for this reason Israelis bombed the line to Syria, to maintain Hamas from being resupplied. The Israelis have shown great restraint. Hamas and Hezbollah conform to a ceasefire and don't save it. Missiles are being fired into Israel continuously. college young ones could desire to flow on field journeys with armed guards. How could you elect to stay like that? i ought to flow on, yet it is getting too long. examine the internet website for what's extremely occurring there.

No one has problems with those who immigrated and stayed legally. However, we now subsidize poor people here and who come here. Their better life is at our expense, and strains our hospitals and is ruining our schools in areas where they concentrate. We have a right to our limits. Their children are not more important than our own.
