Best if someone takes it out.

You might want to see your doctor to get this done. If it remains it can be a focus of infection (not to mention a constant irritation whenever you try and stand/walk).

You might also be up for a Tetanus shot.

I have had this happen to me. First you need to wash the wound with soap and water and cover the wound with a soft covering such as rolled gauze. You will need to go to your doctor or hospital . When I tried to pull mine out it broke off as well. The doctor had to remove the remaining piece and I received an antibiotic. If your tetanus shot is not up to date, you will need that as well. Hope you feel better!

i am totally in sync with you. the same thing happened to me. i stepped on a tiny piece of glass i couldn't get out myself, so i went to the emergency room and they had to surgically remove it. for you though, i would suggest going to the doctor.

Soak it in hot water. It will work itself out, or at the very least, work itself out enough to give you something to tweeze.

After that, if it's a tiny little sliver, try coating the area with Elmers Glue (yes, really). Let it set for about 20-30 minutes, and then peel it off.

Hope it helps...
