That's crap. It's also known as a "double standard" which doesn't REALLY exist any more.
Most people throw the words SL-T, and WH-RE around like frisbee but don't really know what they mean.
So I will tell you....
A SL-T is commonly referred to as woman who has sex for DESTRUCTIVE PURPOSES. She will use sex to get even with a girlfriend, get back at her EX, and maybe even do damage to herself by sleeping with the WRONG kind of man for her. SL-TS typically have bad taste in men and continually make bad/unhealthy choices, and generally refuse to take responsiblity for their mistakes.
A WH-RE (as defined in the dictionary) is a woman who provides sex (or withholds it) for payment or some kind of personal gain.
No woman is ever BORN that way. These terms are used to describe their BEHAVIOR. But you will notice that SL-TS and WH-RES never have sex purely for the PLEASURE it brings them or their partner. There is ALWAYS ANOTHER REASON (motive) WHY they are having sex. The ORGASM or the mere enjoyment is not the main reason.
Now, there is ANOTHER category of women who enjoy sex PURELY for the fun of it and the pleasure it brings them and their partner.
These women can NEVER be called SL-TS or WH-RES, they are free to have as meny sexual partners as they want and can NEVER RIGHTFULLY BE LABELLED AS SUCH.
Personally, I don't care if a woman had 4 or 400 sexual partners in her life. What is IMPORTANT is her BEHAVIOR ... and that's ALL I am interested in.
If she gives me ANY indication that she uses sex for damage - or personal gain - then I am afraid that's not the woman for me.

Blah blah blah... this question is beating a dead horse. It's been done and done and done and there will never be a real outcome because when it comes down to it, there isn't anything "wrong" with this. On either side. As long as you are respectful with the people you are with. Tell no lies, and all is well. But if you lie and deceive your way into all these peoples pants, then that would be considered wrong. On both male or female side.
I guess what I'm basically trying to say is Who cares! Live your life, stop worrying about how other people live theirs. Those people probably deserve to get played if they are dumb enough to fall for it or allow it if they know they are being played.

It's not right for anyone to 'get with' several people at once. It's not that those who call a girl a 'hoe' or whatever aren't in the right, because you shouldn't be with more then one person at once seriously. It's that there's really no male derogatory term for a 'hoe'- like a player; but it's just as bad.

Why? Because men deposit sperm in a woman. And there is a 'record' and recognition of different sperm by the body. As a cultural we believe women are a little higher than a german shepherd. How many men do you want your wife to have had sex with? Will you tell you daughter when she is 13 to start screwing around? Or will you wait until she is 14? Wouldn't you be proud if your mother came into your room and told your friends she had sex with 283 guys? The answer is a woman is called that because that is what she is. Your actions define what you are. You are what you do. It is the same for men.

There really is no real answer to this question! Guys just love to be with all kinds of women, that's b/c most can't get any! Women, they can get some anytime they want! So maybe deep inside ,a man gets jealous of a woman, and calls them hoes or whatever!

It's an unfair double standard. Promiscuity is oftentimes praised for men, but frowned upon for women. There should be one standard of behavior for both sexes. Guys are selfish in this regard, however. Personally, promiscuity is either bad for both genders or neither. Our culture hasn't decided on this one, yet. It doesn't phaze a woman if a guy has had many partners, but guys are intimidated for some reason. I don't know why that is. More than likely, it's some form of control and insecurity. I know this answer isn't comforting, but it's my observation of the scenario.

Society rules suck, don't they?
Women should be given all the same considerations as a man, but because of the "Suzy Homemaker" personna of the 1950's everyone's opinion of a woman still has to hold up to those ridiculous standards.
The only way to change it is for women to stop doing it. When women stop judging each other (admit it, ladies, we all do it) then men will stop thinking poorly of us.
Plus, men love their mothers. Mothers are the picture of virtue, and if a woman does not behave as they **believe** their mothers behave, then they are not good girls, and therefore hoe's.

I've been pondering the same question for years. Now I've accepted that this is, unfortunately, the view of a lot of people and there's not much I can do about it. However, I prefer not to hang out with people who call girls with multiple partners "hoes" or with blokes who boast about their "conquests". Other than that, I decided that I much rather not care what anyone thinks...as long as I'm happy with my life!

it has always been that way...so i guess just avoid letting yourself fall into the category...hoes are hoes whether a boy or girl..if a guy sleeps with 50 girls and a women sleeps with 50 men like its nothing they are both hoes..in the end regardless of what people say they still expose themselves to the same amount of chances to get STD's and life threatening illnesses so who cares what people think.

It's called a double standard. It's been around for at least a couple thousand years, and doesn't look like it will be gone for at least that much longer. Guys that have lots of girls do have a tendency to be labeled a "Player", though
