Aatman Nityam=Soul is Eternal(Chetanam-so Chaitanyam) ----Jagat Mitya=material world is not eternal-Achetanam-So according to the need from time to time God makes the material which He created to evolve and change.Probably He might have thought Dinosaurs have lost their relevance now!!

When God cast satan out of heaven to the earth, satan knew how to "create" life. He was with God when God first spoke of putting life on the earth.
When satan got here (thinking he was still better than God) he decided to make his own form of life. Hence, the dinosaur and the first form of human life. It was not good.
Then, when it was God's turn, he destroyed what satan created and created his own life. Animals and humans. And...it was good.

No one even knows what the dinos looked like. They just found lots of bones all over the place. Let's face it, its aliens.
