Yes I have..
My children know about condoms, the pill, contraceptive sponges, the rhythm method, abstinence, IUD's, surgical sterilization and all other birth control methods I could think of..
They know the rate of failure for each method, they know that only abstinence and condoms are effective in preventing diseases and the failure rate of condoms..
I have talked to my children about waiting until they are mature and stable before having sex because birth control is only 99% effective and having to decide what to do if you get that 1% failure isn't something you want to deal with..
I however am not naive, teens (I know some younger than teens) will have sex, I do not believe a proper punishment for having sex is death... In this day and age getting a life long or terminal disease is a real possibility so I have armed my children with the knowledge they need to be safer if they choose to have sex..
My children are now 19g, 17b and 10g.. My 10 year old still thinks all boys have cooties except Johnny Depp who she loves and plans to marry... My 19 yr old and my 17 yr old have each done the responsible thing and protected themselves when choosing to have sex..
I have condoms in a basket in my room they are always free to take what they want.. They know to throw the condoms away and get new ones (every month for my son he keeps his in his wallet, every 3 months for my daughter she keeps hers in her purse in a little metal box... condoms lose structural integrity and can be damaged making them ineffective due to wear from being bumped around heated up etc. in a wallet or purse) I regularly make sure the supply is available and well within it's expiration date... I also keep trial sized lubes in the basket (plain, pineapple and peppermint flavor/scent currently... I got a package of 100 trial size on sale didn't have a flavor scent choice) so they can use them for masturbation and intercourse purposes should they choose to..
I believe it is a parents duty to not only teach their child their moral beliefs but arm them with information should the child not choose to follow the parents moral beliefs.. My children are well armed with the knowledge and the tools they may need..

I do not and cannot have children but if I had I would have taught them about all forms of birth control as it is not a sin to prevent an untimely pregnancy. Plus, I am a realist, even if you tell them not to, kids will do what they want when they wish and if they are going to then they should be protected against pregnancy and disease.
My father gave me my sex talk (mom couldn't handle it for some reason) and he got me books and talked about all the available forms of birth control available at that time (we're talking 1982 here). Even as a christian he felt it to be more responsible to send his children out into the world prepared for it rather than blind.

My oldest is 12, and we have talked about them. She gives me the "Ewww, thats gross". I thought it was funny that the lady with seven kids said she taught her kids morals. Eh, to each their own. The morals I teach my kids include walking gently on this earth.

My son was taught about condoms well before he became sexually active. I did volunteer work with B.A.S.I.C. and we witnessed many people who lived with A.I.D.S.
My son was also a child that was born out of wedlock. I felt it was very important he have the FACTS...all the facts so he could make good decisions.

Funny! My husband taught sex ed while my daughter was a teenager. We had condoms all over the house, as he gave them away. Yes, she knew about them!

We also explained the emotional ramifications of having sex at that age...

That'd be nice, but then you never know which kids have depression. That's where questions like "Why didn't you use one for me to get trapped in with my other millions of brothers and sisters?"
And we don't want those questions.
