Disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle out in the Atlantic Ocean..

Some of the disappearances involve a level of mystery which is often popularly explained by a variety of theories beyond human error or acts of nature, that being said these dis-appearances...Unexplained electromagnetic anomalies and atmospheric aberrations can happen on earth which make this theory impossible to prove what happens to something we see that has exsisted yet has dis-appeared in a blink..

How do you account for these dis-appearances? and do you think time travel might be a possibility?

No more ships disappear in the Devil's Triangle then any where else on earth. There is nothing mystical or magical about it and if there was, all the thousands of tourists, ships, planes etc that cross the Triangle every year would be diverted. The sea is a dangerous place, particularly in war time (when all the Triangle stories were compiled) and people dies and disappeared all the time all over the ocean.
Charles Berlitz made the whole thing up. There are also a fair number of boats that come up without crews - Squalls knock them off or they abandon ship for one reason or another. Maybe not hundreds a year, but one of two.

Let's try a little logic here. If there really was something going on in the Triangle, don't you think you'd have heard of something going missing there in your lifetime? I'm 42 and I've never heard of anything, except the ones referenced in Berlitz book. Do you think people would still go to this vacation Mecca?

The Bermuda triangle and also the Dragons triangle are 2 areas with similar ship and plane disappearances, this has now been explained through scientific research and has been caught on film. All that it is is large pockets of methane gas locked up on the ocean floor that periodically releases itself in large quantities. As this gas rises to the surface it airates the water and any ship in the immediate area will sink due to the fact that there is not enough water below the ship to support it. As this gas rises from the surface it disrupts the natural magnetic field and throws compasses out of true. Therefore pilots would not know where north is. Tests have been carried out and have proven this theory, it is nothing to do with space ships or aliens, it is a perfecly natural occurance.

no. It is just a weird set of events. It became famous after the Army Squadron never came back. It is the ocean. If a plane crashes it will be hard to see at the bottom. As for boats and such... they sink. The only thing that is really weird is the ONE cruise ship that everybody disappeared. Though that could be from the storm that hit them.

The theories abound. But did you know the Bermuda Triangle is not the only such place on Earth. I have heard of another called the Dragon's Triangle, but I'm not sure where it is located.
The 'effects' witnessed are also similar to discriptions of some 'mystical' ceremonies I've heard of. As to what is going on, who knows? Maybe it's something we're not meant to understand at this point in time.

Actually, if you look at the numbers, you don't lose more people or planes or ships there than anywhere else on Earth. It's just a superstition. So no, not everyone will agree with that - just people who can't be bothered to check every rumor they hear.

No, it's not a black hole. That show was totally ridiculous. And horribly scientifically inaccurate.

It's due to the magnetic fields there. I have been through the Bermuda Triangle. Now that we have more sophisticated equipment, it doesn't happen anymore. I can assure you that my ship and all 2500 passengers went through safely.

BERMUDA
(Strother)
The Bell Sisters - 1952
Ray Anthony (vocals: Tommy Mercer & Marcie Miller) - 1952

Down in Bermuda
Paradise for two
I lost my lover
There on the blue

We went sailing
On a coral sea
Starlit waters
My darling and me

Time was endless
Love sang its song
We dreamed of tomorrow
Now he is gone

I see his lips
In the coral
I see his eyes
In the water blue

I see his hair
In the glowing sunlight
A vision clear
Calling me near

In Bermudan waters
Oh, so clear and cold
I wait my loved one
As I grow old

I wait my loved one
As I grow old

I heard that in 1921, the pope lost a crucifix out the window of his plane in that area, and the crucifix has been a vortex ever since.
