Jesus was born and lived in the Roman Empire. They counted years AUC (from the founding of the city). Legend and current archaeologists reckon that Rome was founded in what we now know as 753BC.

The date of Christ's birth was not calculated until about 525 AD, thus there are no dates earlier than 525 that can be found on coins or written records from the past.

We are now in 2760 AUC.

jesus was born at about 4BC according to the chinese, who kept very accurate calenders.

lol, so according the church he was born 4 years after he was born, how confusing. that would have made him 4 years old.
