I live in GA and I've received a scholarship that pays for all of my tuition and books except for 296.42. My father should be happy to pay it considering he makes six figures, but whenever he gets pissed...he's extremely selfish and nasty and will throw it in my face. He said he would pay, but at this point in my life at 19...I'm tired of him and how selfish he is...I dont want his help anymore, but I dont know how I can come up with 296.42. What can I do to pay for the rest of my books?

To be honest, you are asking late in the scholarship application season on finding money for the next school year. I am not saying it is not impossible, but it can be done. I recommend joining several free scholarship websites and start applying today. However, it is pretty competitive to get them though. Another idea is maybe work during the summers or school breaks when you are not taking classes or have a work study position. Good luck!

seems to me you only have a few choices. first i'd get used books to lower the cost, or see if theres a financial aid thing or you can put it on a credit card. Otherwise,
1 take your dads money and pay respect for the thousdands of dollars he's putting out for your education. Y'know some parents give zero.
2 take a part-time job and push one class to a later date.
3 do one time jobs, like participate in paid focus groups on craigslist in jobs section. or sell things that you own...don't sell things that your parents own. CDs, games, clothes, whatever.
Good luck.

It would only take a week working (especially as a server ) to amount to $300 Or try a babysitting or dogwalking service!
