Acupuncture is not addicting? Christians are against it because it is foreign to their nature. It was an invention of those Chinese devils.

It is not physically addictive.
I suppose it could be psychology addictive. As anything could be.
However note that acupuncture has been around for thousands of years. Compared to today's medicine which has only been around a few hundred. The proofs in the pudding.
However modern medicine is not all bad. There just hasnt been enough time to test what exact effects are happening within you.
Now why are Christians against it?
who knows?!
Maybe because one acupuncture theory is based off of the five element theory. Which is the natural law of the universe (according to some). Which is not in accordance with the Christian ways of being.
The answer could be influence. Opening the mind and educating yourself that there are other areas of spirit that are not Christian.

I'm not Christian, but this is a classic example of the insanity that fundamentalism seems to create in people. I'll approach this scientifically: there was a study recently, I'm sorry, I don't have a link to it, that showed that acupuncture works, but not because of any "chi" that is being moved or released in the body-- they gave people with pain problems acupuncture. One group was given traditional acupuncture (hitting specific spots in the body), and the other group was randomly poked with needles. Both groups showed an improvement in pain problems, proving that the theory behind acupuncture is somewhat bubkis, but that it still works somewhat, nonetheless, for pain management anyway. So, if you're having concerns about becoming a Taoist or an atheist, fear not! You can safely poke yourself with needles all you want. Your soul is not in peril.

I suppose anything can be addictive, particularly if the person has the right personality. Jogging can be addictive. I saw once on Oprah a thing about people who are addicted to support groups (and yes, they do have a support group for that).
I've never heard of any Christians who are against Acupuncture, But then again, I only recently heard about the "Armor of God" but I would imagine it has to do with the references to KI or CHI and it's Taoist background.

I've been a Christian all my life, and I never got the memo that we're supposed to be against acupuncture. I don't find it addictive, but it sure got rid of a migraine once. I'd never had acupuncture prior to that, and didn't believe that it would work, but it did.

I have never heard that Christians are against acupuncture. Unless it's one of those religions that don't believe in taking medicine or blood transfusions. I won't try to guess, I wouldn't want to offend someone.

I didn't know we were. Is this more of that ignorant hash wherein tv evangelists are purportedly our leaders and spokespersons? Most Christians are Catholic statistically; can't say I ever heard our canon law covered acupuncture. Got this off tv,hm? Oh,good source. Say hi to Jimmy Swaggert for me.

My dad went to a Christian acupuncturist. Go figure!
He didn't get addicted to it, but he only had it done once. I don't know; what's NOT to love about getting stuck with a hundred tiny needles? :-D
