Dateline's "To Catch a Predator"?

What do you think of the show?


My Two Cents:

On one hand, I think we can all agree that the men that show up for some illegal roll in the hay are troubled people adn should be held accountable!

BUT . . . . I think this is going to drive child predators deeper underground and make the situation alot worse. Parents knew the dangerous of "online chatting" long before this show was created.

Also no one EVER talks about all the little twits(not all but alot) who PURPOSELY go online looking for adult men to tease and intice, that is just as wrong. Teen girls are not as "innocent" as they used to be (or as much as their parents want to think they are) and some know a "thing or two" before graduating high school.

I not excusing what predators do, but we need to see this from both sides of the fence.

I have never excused what these sick men are doing, its wrong all the way and they SHOULD be punished to the fullest extent of the law!

Just because I may not agree with the way Dateline is going about it DOES NOT mean that I excuse what the predators are trying to do.

I never said that the girls ask for it, if you had actually read my comments you would know that.
(I said that some girls go online with the intent of teaseing and inticing and they know they shouldn't be doing that, but do it anyway because "they think its cool")

i think that teens are also actually wanting to have sex with these men....althought i think child molesters should get the death penalty.....but if a teen is on line asking for it then what can you do?

I'm afraid not, these kids are just that, they are children, these predators are adults. I've seen this show and I think it's a good way for parents to show their children just what is out there. Children have a tendency not to believe their parents and think they don't know what their talking about. Young girls are very naive, and a lot of times these guys are very convincing, and these girls think that they are talking to someone their own age. These predators know their stuff and know how to convince young girls to let them come and see them, most of these girls are twelve and thirteen years old and are at a very tough time in life adolescence !!! A lot of these girls go missing or are found dead. There are no two sides to this, one is a child and the other is an adult. And the older girls as you say who are doing this knowing fair well what they are doing, are only asking for it. I wonder if they think about this as the predators are straggling them?????

I sure am glad to see that someone has the guts to stand up and say that there really are some very bad teens and children out in the world. Yes as parents, we are responsible, but we all know that even with taking away the computer in the house, a child who wants to surf the net can go anywhere theses days and a predator will find them. And god forbid the teen is having difficulty with parents at home, first thing they think to do is allegiance with someone who quote un quote "understands them"

Haha... I by no potential watched it on youtube...yet now i'd. certain, the excuses are hilarious... Yeah, I drove 350 miles to satisfy this chick in basic terms to dangle round and hear music... i love it at the same time as they take off strolling out the door in basic terms to satisfy about a dozen police with their guns drawn... a common "oh-sheet" second...

what cracked me up on that show is that a couple of times the predators knew who the host was and wanted to know when the show would air...

I think its great to let people know who they are ...all predators faces should be put in the public to protect children

I assume you have no childre, am I correct?! As a parent of two daughters, I support any show that catches these perverts!
