No... and you should def get it pierced it is fun to have for years, just stay away from metal balls because it WILL chip your teeth or wear away your gum tissue behind your bottom front teeth.

wouldn't suggest it, unless you want to risk having a huge keloid rise up in the middle of your tongue.
