This is going too far with mixing government and religion. I expect that ppl in gov. have different views on religion than I do and that it forms their opinions--to think otherwise is a bit naive. But going after ppl in the gov. as a group to push a religion on them--- this is going way too far.
You can watch a video about it here: http://www.jewsonfirst.org/
Christian Embassy: http://www.christianembassy.com/
It says the video was shot in 2001 --was it before or after Sept. 11th?

No problem for me. There are lots of other lobby groups out there doing exactly the same thing. They all represent voters.
Cheers :-)

Why shouldn't Christians seek to have influence in government? Other groups do it all the time -ever hear of CAIR, SCLC, AIPAC, PAW, Atheists United? All the above try to influence public policy based on their religious (or atheistic) worldview.
In reality, Christian Embassy is less about passing "Christian-influenced laws" and more about sharing the Gospel with those living/working in Washington DC.
What is really disgusting is people thinking that Christians should have their First Amendment rights to do these sort of things abridged because they don't agree with the Christian message of salvation through Christ alone.

This has been news for awhile now. When it was shot was irrelevant, it IS going way too far, but it's a reality, although the video (short of people who caught it in time to alert the world what was going on) was yanked by the original sources.

This is exactly why many Americans are fed up with the Christian right. Their shameless attempts to push their zealotry and encroach on the lives of non-Christian citizens are inexcusable.

Mmm...not really. On one hand you could say they're trying to influence politics. On the other, Christians believe that ministry to everyone is necessary.

I don't know, if anybody needs religion, it's the heartless, spineless people in Washington, D.C.
