I credit my parents for: my work ethic, my honesty and integrity, my looks :-)for allowing me realize while ships are safe in harbour, they were not built for the harbour they were built for the open sea!
I blame my parents for absolutely nothing. Once you get past 20 years of age, blaming your parents gets real tired real fast. At 20 most of us are steering our own lives. Time to move on and get on with it. They did the best they could with the best they had, who can ask for anything more.

Why blame if you are an adult? Blame is for children. What you do after age 18 is your choice-no one to blame but yourself. If you were abused (like many of us were), accept what happened and move on. You're only hurting yourself. I say give credit where it is due (credit is positive!! Positive helps us!) and let the rest go. Life is too short!

I credit my parents for:
giving me a foundation for faith
teaching me to not weigh or hold a color swatch to my friends
(not judge people based on their appearance)
giving me an appreciation for a tidy and clean environment but patience for minimal clutter(so a place that looks lived in)
a love for living things
I credit my dad for:
my sense of humor and appreciation for things like Monty Python, the Beatles, Jeopardy, and history(I am partial to Hebrew and Egyptian history-I find it the most interesting)
I credit my mom for:
again, the love of animals(we're both picky about our stuffed animals and we both tend to anthropomorphize them)
appreciation for art and music
giving me a base for being a good mom, myself
helping me to lose over 100lbs these last 15.5 months
I blame them for:
not showing me sooner how to control my eating. I think if it had been bridled as a young child, I would not have had to lose all that weight...but at least I did it.

well i dont blame them for anything, except for my mom who left my cat at our old house. I was so hurt! But umm....i give them lots of credit for just putting up all my moodyness and always being there for me. I know raising a teenager, who is almost going to be an adult, isnt such an easy thing. But i give them loads of credit, i hope im just as good of a parent as they were! :)

I had a very bad childhood because my parents were always fighting, were abusive to us and treated us like their little slaves. I do resent them for this but have worked hard to get over it and forgive them. I have a good relationship with them both now and love them for just doing their best. I give them credit for making it through my teenage wild years.
