If there is some sort of celebration for them at 15 or 16,how does work.Is it the same way?(the dress,cake etc..)

Not necessarily. It's not a religious celebration. It is the Hispanic communities version of a Sweet Sixteen party. It is a coming of age celebration that identifies a girls passage to women hood. Nothing to do with any particular religion.

I've never heard of this. As Latter-day Saints, we don't do anything special for our daughters birthdays. As individuals, we do whatever we feel is appropriate, or whatever customs we learned from our families. When my daughters turned 15 and 16, we had the birthday party that they individually wanted.

Yes latinas who are 15 and LDS if they would like to do celebrate Quincenieras. I have seen this in Southern California but I don't know in Mexico or Central or South America. Mostly in spanish speaking wards.

No. We have a no dating until 16 policy so sometimes we have a debutante ball for all the new 16 year old young ladies.

YES! I used to be Mormon (shorter term I know) and they had them all the time (I was in the Spanish Ward). So yes, they can. It isn't a Catholic thing, its more of tradition.
