I am gay...I make a good wage...I do not have children as a tax write off...I pay a large amount of taxes...which I realize is part of living in a civilized society.

However, if I pay equal taxes....shouldn't I have equal rights?

Breeders are allowed to marry who they love...I pay more in taxes than you do...why don't I have the same rights?

Have you ever given thought to what our country would be like without the gay dollar and tax dollar?

Have you seen the polls about our expendable income? We earn more and spend more on average than hetero counterparts...what would happen if we just quit paying taxes...(besides going to jail) :-)

You should not be discriminated against. It is wrong.

Here come the Adam and Steve bull$hit. You asked a question that requires logic. They are incapable of logic, it goes over their heads.

I love how they resort to comparing gay marriage to polygamy and beastility. In their ignorance that is all they have.

You are missing the point. You are paying the same dollar amount as us, and you are getting the same rights as us. There are no rights that are specifically being taken away from you. The right to a marriage is given to you-you just have to marry someone with whom you can procreate (as in the opposite gender). That's what a marriage is. There is not one right that a gay person is specifically being denied. Even though you are gay, you have the same constitutional rights. That's because you are a human being. There's nobody saying that you can't drive a car because you are gay. That right is given to those who are over 16, and have passed driving school.

You are paying the same taxes; you are getting the same rights. But to get into the issue of gay marriage is simply trying to get another right which doesn't exist. You are paying for the rights that you have. I'll tell you again that you can always go to a country where gay marriage is legal, but if it's a non-discriminatory deomcracy, you'll be paying for that right, and so will heterosexuals. To say that you don't have equal rights is to completely ignore what liberties we have as Americans (I'm assuming you're an American).

By the way, how are you paying more in taxes? I've never heard of a state that charges more in taxes for someone who is gay.

A imaginitive flat tax based on earnings is what's ordinary? Why? because of the fact the extra money you're making the extra you employ interior the way of government centers and reward. Ahhhhh (snicker)....I pay attention conservative heads exploding already. No, yet fairly, this is actual. I certainly have many examples, yet 'll provide you in basic terms some enormous ones for now: protection - that's 20% of the national budget BTW. Why? because of the fact they have extra to lose might desire to the country fall to invaders. the wealthy very own plenty extra interior the way of actual materials, inner maximum business enterprise, securities, etc, than the middle classification and adverse. Why shouldn't they make investments extra to guard what they very own. this is like the guy who owns a huge domicile, he desires a huge coverage plans to guard it, perfect? Then he desires to pay! Public preparation - right here back the wealthy benefit extra because of the fact with out the skills pool offered by the same old public preparation equipment, they'd not have the means to construct agencies as rich. sure, the wealthy leverage all and sundry elses skills to construct their empires. the wealthy also have a extra helpful proportion of their little ones in public universities. great Bailouts - Did the middle classification get a central authority bail out in 2008? No, however the wealthy did. company Welfare. Counting tax breaks and costs, firms and the wealthy hog over $4 hundred billion a three hundred and sixty 5 days, evaluate that to the $116 billion spent on courses for the adverse. the wealthy might desire to pay up! pass ninety 9%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

You absolutely deserve the same rights as straight couples! Marriage is so over-rated and blown out of proportion anyway. Actually it's just a way for the state to get more money. Really now, is there any other reason to charge $25 for a piece of paper with "marriage license" written across the top?

I do object to the 'breeders' remark though. And how do you know how much we pay in taxes? Perhaps we both claim zero exemptions...!

I am not gay and I don't have children either and have to pay the higher taxes also. Along with having other people inflict their children upon me as if they have the right to do so.
Gays are not the only ones in this boat.

I believe everyone does have equal rights. We all have the option to marry a partner of the opposite sex. No group has special rights. If some hillbilly wanted to marry his sister, he wouldn't get a special right to do so just because it feels natural for him. He would have the same rights as me or you.

Deal with your choices.

I am straight and don't have kids, so I have no deductions either. So maybe we pay the same amount of taxes. But it is my choice to be straight and I have no kids mostly by choice. One day I will have kids, but I don't spend my time whining about it.

Can someone marry their sister or first cousin? What if they love that person? What if you fall in love with someone of the opposite sex, but they don't want to marry you? Should your so called "right" force the other person to marry you? What if someone is already married and I love them - can I marry them?

Your argument makes no sense. People don't marry for love in all cases (Clintons).

We all have the right to the same rights. How you chose your life is your chose, it's a personal decision.

Why are you living there when you can be free to marry here in Canada?

Do you like being oppressed by bigots? Wouldn't you prefer to live free in a country where you can marry the one you love?

Canada: Land of the Free, Home of the Brave :-)
