I wish we had more of it. I love movies like "Batman Begins", "Spider-man", and "Boondock Saints". The show "Heroes" is pretty awesome. Maybe I am a little twisted but I don't think the law enforcement in the U.S. is adequate. I love to hear when homeowners blow away criminals trying to break into their home. Or when Babu pops a cap in a thief trying to rob his convenience store. More people should carry weapons with a permit to conceal. I think it would be much safer. And don't give me any statistics about gun ownership and death. I have read them and we would save more lives with more heat on the street. All the criminals have gats, it's time to return the favor.

Then you should move to a country that has extreme vigilantes. Like Iraq.

It not vigilante justice if you defend yourself. Yes I agree with more people having weapons on their person however I do not agree the government having the right to know who is carrying a weapon. I do believe a person should learn how to use these items. Any weapon does not have the ability to kill. Its the human behind the weapon that does the killing.
Take an automobile, nearly everybody has the license to use one but the automobile does not kill the person kills. Nobody including the government should not know if you are carrying a weapon. If the government goes sour, you will be the first to be arrested and jailed and your weapon taken.

The only time you should use vigilante justice is when a crime has happened to you or a loved one. Also the severity of the justice should depend on what happened in the first place.

Defending yourself and vigilante justice are two WAY different things. Shooting attackers is defense. Shooting someone who allegedly raped someone is vigilante justice. Sounds all fine and good...Until you find out the "victim" was lying or that you shot the wrong man.

The average citizen is not trained enough to take on vengence.

I'm partial to the 'Rule of Law,' myself. Vigilantes have a nasty habbit of lynching the wrong people.

Of course, self-defense doesn't make a you vigilante.

Yes, but only when it's appropriately violent. Bad guys should suffer.

No I do not like vigilante justice. and if someday it is used against you (and it likely will given your attitude) you wouldn't like it either.

What you are doing is advocating criminal activity to control criminal activity. That doesn't make much sense.
