You know, I've been in this situation before. My exboyfriend was bipolar and had schizo-affective disorder. I can honestly say it was one of the hardest relationships I had ever been in. Sometimes things are great and other times, not so good. I think it depends on the disorder as well. Some are more severe that others and some can be dealt with. It all depends on how much you really care for the person.

it depends on the disorder, but if it is a disorder that is significant in the persons life I wouldn't do it. Mental disorders are like a totally different culture depending on what it is. They think very differently then you do, something you might consider harmless they might take very seriously and vise versa it can be frustrating.

Honestly depends on the mental disorder and the intensity of it. If it's something I can deal with, sure, why not?

No.Not unless I was going to put up with it the rest of my life and it also depends on the disorder. If they are insecure and manic depression ,they will try to control you through the threat of suicide and they can be very tempermental. Also if they have anger problems that can be dangerous. If they have compulsive disorders like stealing lying eitc.

It depends on the severity of their problems. Depression and anxiety...yes I would. I grew up with a bipolar mom and brother so I understand the illnesses and they live normal, functioning regular lives with treatment.
